Nemours is seeking a Site Chief to join our team in Bryn Mawr, PA The Site Chief is a physician leader of hospitalists who provides the vision, oversight, and guidance to achieve the two primary goals of a clinical division at Nemours: 1. Superior health care service to our patients, and 2. Satisfying professional careers for our health care providers and other associates. This position works closely with other Nemours leaders as well as the leadership of Bryn Mawr Hospital, a member of Main Line Health System. This is a full-time position. Approximately 75% clinical and 25% administrative. Must have at least 5 years experience in pediatric inpatient and emergency medicine. Essential Functions Scope of Practice Define the scope of practice of their division consistent with the mission and goals of Nemours. She/he will collaborate with leadership to create and seek new initiatives to further the Nemours mission, which can bring value to Nemours and its patients both within and external to their specialty. In collaboration with the Department Chair and medical staff, this effort will include defining appropriate patient populations to be served, as well as executing strategic initiatives as defined by Nemours goals and strategic plans. Clinical Service Identify and obtain resources to optimize clinical services. The Site Chief will identify those positions or roles within the division necessary to advance the Nemours mission. She/he will monitor and support division members in achieving appropriate goals. Physician and Care Provider Satisfaction Responsible for contributing to an environment that enhances the professional development of her/his division members with the goal of achieving a highly motivated physician and allied professional group. The Chief should be attentive and responsive to the professional needs of the faculty, nurture staff in their professional development, and monitor work-life balance with the goal of achieving the best possible opportunities for professional advancement and satisfaction. Fiscal Stewardship and Operational Management Collaborate with the department's administrator in developing the division's annual operating budget. Along with department administrator, monitor financials and develop strategies to achieve targets. Support achievement of defined goals and complement educational efforts by Nemours regarding the physician compensation plan. Contribute to divisional associate compliance with Nemours policies and procedures, including areas such as coding and billing, completion of mandatory annual training, actions related to patient satisfaction, various initiatives and workplace behavior. Supporting Nemours Desired Physician Behavior Exemplify the Nemours Standards of Behavior and support the division members' efforts in educating and ensuring that the Nemours Standards of Behavior are practiced by all staff. She/he will provide regular feedback to divisional members related to the Nemours Standards of Behavior.
