Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:Overall responsibility for the management of the plant floor across 12-hour production shift. Ensures that product is produced in an efficient manner, according to established schedules and policies that meets/exceeds quality standards. Hours are D Shift 7:00pm
7:00am Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday.Ensure plant compliance with company policies and procedures as well as GMP and Food Safety Standards and FDA Food Drug Administration standards.Supervise and manage shift production workers ensuring a safe and efficient workplace is always maintained.Implement and ensure daily and weekly production schedules.Ensure and maintain a continuous flow of product within the plant to maximize machine and personnel utilization.Document and analyze daily production output.Close cooperation with logistics to ensure availability of production materials. Feedback to the Production and Plant Managers to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery.Recruiting of hourly staff.Lead, promote, motivate and develop employees in the area of responsibility with regard to leadership principles and in agreement with HR.REQUIREMENTS:Minimum College degree, bachelor's degree preferred 5 + years' experience in a similar role in the food or packaging industry preferred5 + years' managerial or supervisory experienceGood knowledge of food industry standards (GMPs and Food Safety StandardsGood knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
