**Type of Requisition:** Regular**Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain:** None**Public Trust/Other Required:** NACI (T1)**Job Family:** Systems AdministrationThe Network Support Technician works with customers and engineers to perform day-to-day network support. They also troubleshoot and resolve network issues within the SLA timeframe and respond to customer tickets and work on projects as assigned.In this role, a typical day will include:+ Responding to customer incidents+ Monitor Alert Dashboard and ensure that tickets are created for issues+ Activate/Configure Network interfaces for customers across multiple locations+ Work as part of a 24x7 on call rotation in support of incidents.+ Deploying/upgrading new network devices+ Move equipment between locations+ Follow established processes to support NIH network+ Create Change RequestsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:+ BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience+ 2 or more years of relative technical experience in Network Support, Network monitoring or Desktop Support+ Ability to lift/move heavy network equipment.+ Must possess or be able to obtain NIH Clearance / Public TrustPREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS+ Network+ or higher+ Experience with Wireless Infrastructure / 802.1x+ Experience with Monitoring Tools (like Sitescope/Solarwinds/Sciencelogic)+ Able to work eveningCOVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: To protect the health and safety of its employees and to comply with customer requirements, GDIT may require employees in certain positions to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
