to Where History Meets Modern Day.Purpose:Beginning in August 2024
and full-time for 12 to 16 weeks, the internship student will be
immersed in various aspects of Meetings and Events and our culture
of creating enriching experiences at Loews Hotels & Co. From guest
service standards across different events styles to our extensive
meetings and banquets, our Meetings and Events team plays a
critical role in delivering memorable hospitality every single
day.What Will You Learn?The Loews Hotels & Co Meetings and Events
Internship has 4 enriching components:
- Learning Plan
- Mentoring by a Loews Leader(s)
- Reflections
- Value-Added ExperiencesExperience working with:
- Related departments such Meetings and Events, Banquets, and
Food and Beverage
- DELPHI by entering, reviewing, and updating group
information
- Creating and editing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)Learning plans
include:
- Fundamental practices such as providing Loews Hotels Star
Service standards to clients
- DELPHI training
- Setup standards
- Supporting Conference Managers with convention groups
- Assisting in building strong relations with other hotel
departments, employees, and outside agencies and vendors
- Preparation of VIP arrivals
- Value-added internship experiences include immersion in Loews
culture by experiencing our organizational programs focused on Team
Member Engagement, DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion), and
Learning & DevelopmentMentors will provide:
- Helpful professional feedback and support during your
experience
- Exposure to leadership tasks
- Understanding Meetings and Events management reports
- Students will be responsible for completing their weekly
reflections in order to capture their learning and maximize the
mentoring experienceWhat You Bring
- Students must be currently enrolled in an accredited, US-based
college or university, and be in good academic standing, in order
to apply for an internship.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and eagerness to
learn
- Desire and ability to work with others collaboratively
- Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
- Exceptional guest service skills
- Effective organizational skills with a focus on details,
quality, and consistency
- Ability to work flexible schedule to include some weekends and
