Job Description:

Materials Handler-AHRC per diem up to 20 hrs Freeport location Facilitates job completion by assisting in the assembly, packaging, and fulfillment process for 2 business lines. Performs piecework assembly. Supplies areas with raw materials for assembly, and packages merchandise for delivery and shipment. Provides support to all incoming loads in the warehouse and assists in bringing the finished goods from the production floor back to the warehouse. Operates light/heavy equipment. Provides general support and assistance for prevocational department as needed including, but not limited to, general support to program staff as requested. Qualifications: Good interpersonal skills Experience working with DD population a plus Primary Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to: Assists in the assembly, packaging, and fulfillment process for 2 business lines. Maintains an organized warehouse and Production floor. Assists in assuring work areas are prepared for workers to complete their assigned jobs. Sets up work materials and equipment accordingly. Monitors safety and reports hazardous problems on the Production floor to supervisor(s). Loads /unloads trucks, palletizes/sorts incoming loads into the warehouse; retrieves finished goods from production areas using pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc. Assists with flow of materials to the production floor by working with staff to facilitate production runs. Acts as a floor aide to distribute materials to line workers who need supplies to keep the line moving smoothly Operates light/heavy equipment as needed. Perform additional related duties as requested by supervisor
