doing: As a Principal Network Security Consultant, you will serve
as a pivotal leader within Verizon's Professional Services Cyber
Defense Delivery (PS CD) or Consulting Services teams. This senior,
client-facing role is responsible for providing strategic guidance
to customers, technical governance, and delivery leadership for
complex network security projects. You will act as a trusted
advisor to customers, bridging the gap between business objectives
and advanced cybersecurity solutions, driving both pre-sales
support initiatives and hands-on project delivery excellence across
global accounts. Act as a network security SME and technical lead
in projects acting, ensuring that solutions remain in scope and are
aligned to agreed business requirements, appropriate delivery
methodologies are followed and that effective governance is
applied; Delivery of smaller stand-alone projects as required;
Provide support and guidance to consultants working on other
Network Security projects; Provide peer reviews of HLD, LLD and
other critical project documentation as required; Work with
internal and external stakeholders to understand business
requirements and prepare appropriate technical solution designs at
both high and low levels.; Support and actively participate in the
business development of the PS CD practice by identifying
additional business opportunities within the current customer base;
Act as Senior Thought Leader and establish strong customer
relationships in key accounts to help progress the Security
Services portfolio; Support the wider practice in any pre-sales
activities and effort scoping work, including preparation of
supporting materials, LOE (Level of Effort), SOW (Statement of
Work), and development of quotes for customer engagements;
Identify, progress, and promote new opportunities in projects and
opportunities for up-sell services; Support peers working with
customers, coach, mentor, and knowledge share where needed to
ensure a high quality of service delivery to customers; Participate
in the development and improvement of internal business processes:
standard re-usable templates, methodologies, and automation that
can be used to increase the efficiency and consistency of delivery
within the practice, eliminating manual workflows where possible.
Maintain day to day records of project work to allow accurate
billing and reporting of consultancy time; Maintain effective
network of business contacts within Verizon and their partner
community; Maintain and grow their own knowledge to ensure this
maintains fully relevant to the network security services practice
and its clients; Have strong presentation and written/verbal
communications skills at multiple levels of an organization;
Network security consulting, design and delivery experience. What
we’re looking for You’ll need to have: Bachelor’s degree or four or
more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant
experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of
work and/or military experience, or specialized training. Technical
expertise in most of the technologies below: ?Firewalls:
Checkpoint, Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/FTD, Fortinet; Proxy
Services: Bluecoat (forward/reverse proxy), Load Balancers: F5
(LTM/GTM); IDP/IPS: FirePower/Sourcefire IPS/IDS, McAfee Identity &
Access Management: Cisco ISE, Aruba Clearpass policy manager;
CyberArk Routing & Switching: (CCNP/CCNA level), and good knowledge
of SD-WAN deployments; Good understanding of key technologies such
as: VRF, dynamic routing (EIGRP/BGP/OSPF), MPLS, DMVPN, GRE, IPSec
VPN Remote Access VPN: GlobalProtect, Pulse Secure, Cisco
AnyConnect; SASE; Palo Alto Prisma Access, Zscaler Knowledge of
Cloud deployments (Azure/AWS/GCP) Experience with building,
maintaining, reviewing all configurations/settings/policies on
chosen technologies; Excellent troubleshooting skills (both
technical and non-technical); Production of detailed infrastructure
designs including physical and virtual aspects of security
components; One or more industry technical certifications.
Willingness to travel up to 25%. Even better if you have:
Experience of multi-vendor, managed outsourcing environments;
Experience working with operational environments following ITIL
frameworks; Excellent documentation and presentation skills;
Ability to review processes and procedures – and improve them;
Business requirements analysis Migration of complex legacy
infrastructures to new managed security services platforms;
Understanding and demonstrable experience working in an Agile
environment and actively participating in a Scrum team; Experience
using Jira to help define user stories, tasks and associated
estimates. Following Certifications: CCNA/CCNP
(Enterprise/Security/Data Center); CISSP or equivalent; Palo Alto
(PCNSA/PCNSE); Checkpoint (CCSA/CCSE); Fortinet (NSE); F5 Certified
BIG-IP Administrator; Zscaler (ZCCA-IA, ZCCA-PA) If Verizon and

work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight
assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed
job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based
position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your
compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours. The annual
salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition
based on a full-time schedule is: $120,500.00 - $231,000.00.
