DMC Facility Services is a fast paced, family owned company, seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. Candidates must be career minded, have prior customer service experience, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be able to understand and translate customer needs and wants throughout the company.We service Fortune 500 companies within the restaurant and retail industries. We are focused on providing the highest quality craftsmanship throughout the facilities maintenance sector, including remodels and renovations, electrical services, tile and specialty flooring services, ceiling and wall replacement, doors and hardware, exterior services, and more. For the last 25 years, we've prided ourselves on building relationships with our customers that are founded on honesty, respect, and trust.The role of the Human Resources Generalist is to provide leadership and professionalism in the maintenance and management of all DMC employees. Employee will be tasked with maintaining all employee personnel files and other employee records as well as assisting with administration of employee benefits. The Human Resources Generalist will also be responsible for assisting department managers with recruiting, onboarding and training new employees as well as evaluating, disciplining and terminating existing employees. In addition to performing HR tasks, employee will be assisting with reception and various other administrative duties.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the full recruiting cycle include posting -open positions, completing phone screens and scheduling interviews with hiring manager; responsible for processing drug screens and background checks
  • Complete on-boarding process of new employees including the application and new hire orientation
  • Administer payroll, benefits and -maintain accurate and update employee files and reporting through company HRIS -
  • Coordinate training and safety programs; schedule DOT certificate appointments for new employees as applicable
  • Assist in drafting and updating company procedures and policies with management team -
  • Plan and coordinate company events and employee engagement activities -
  • Other projects and duties as assigned -Qualifications: -
    • 2+ years of previous experience in Human Resources, recruiting or other related fields required
    • Knowledge of federal and local regulations and employment laws -
    • Excellent ability to multi-task, prioritize and problem solve in a -busy, fast paced environment -
    • Strong professionalism, organizational and planning skills - -
    • Previous experience in construction industry preferred -Benefits: -
