Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Apr 6, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week night shift contract at a Level 2 Trauma Center in Jersey City, NJ, requiring the ability to both circulate and scrub across multiple surgical specialties. Details - Operating Room setting within a Level 2 Trauma Center - Patient mix includes all OR specialties except open heart surgery, including orthopedic, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro cases - Robotic and ENT surgical cases are part of the workload - Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30) - On-call required 2 times per schedule - Charting system: Epic Requirements - Active NJ or Compact RN license required - Current BLS certification required - Minimum 2 years of current acute care OR experience required - Must be proficient in both circulating and scrubbing - Robotic and ENT surgical experience required - Experience in orthopedic, vascular, general, thoracic, and neuro surgical specialties required - SSN and DOB required for consideration - Two current professional references required Additional Information - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Scrubs are provided by the facility - Local candidates are accepted at the same rate - Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment - Scrub and circulate skills checklist required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-687428.
