$145,000.00 per year Pay Transparency: The above reflects the
anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work
in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected
for the position will depend on several factors, including the
candidate's educational background, skills and professional
experience. Job Overview : The Perioperative Nurse Educator is a
registered professional nurse who has expertise in both the
Perioperative clinical setting, nursing professional development
and education. Experience for this role includes an in-depth
understanding and management of a wide scope of surgical patients,
general surgery, robotics, neurosurgery, gynecological, orthopedic,
cardiac, trauma, bariatrics. The Perioperative Nurse Educator must
have an in-depth understanding of the American Nurses Association
Scope and Standards of Practice and the Association of
Peri-Operative Nursing Standards. The primary function is that of
an educator, practitioner, consultant and change agent. The
Perioperative Nurse Educator is a clinical expert with abilities to
foster the clinical development of the staff that she/he guides.
The Perioperative Nurse Educator will participate in the Nurse
Residency Program to assess, validate and teach required skills for
novice nurses. The Perioperative Nurse Educator may assist in other
departments as clinically requested by nursing leadership.
Schedule: Full-Time Daytime Hours Four Days Per Week Qualifications
: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (required), MSN or doctorate
preferred 2 years of experience in nursing specialty of given NPDP
role (required) Certification in nursing specialty of given NPDP
role (recommended) NPDPs for certain specialty areas may also have
