Job Description Job Description Job Title: EEG/EMG Technician Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate EEG/EMG Technician to join our neurodiagnostic team. This hybrid role involves performing both electroencephalogram (EEG) and electromyography (EMG) procedures under the supervision of a neurologist or physiatrist. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, technically proficient, and passionate about delivering high-quality care in accordance with AANEM and ACNS standards. Key Responsibilities EEG Duties: Prepare patients and equipment for EEG testing Apply electrodes using the International 10–20 system Monitor EEG recordings and annotate clinical events in real time Support long-term monitoring (LTM), ambulatory EEGs, and video EEGs Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures EMG/NCS Duties: Set up and calibrate EMG and nerve conduction study (NCS) equipment Assist physicians with EMG/NCS procedures including electrode placement Accurately document waveforms, latency, and amplitude readings Maintain and sterilize EMG equipment and supplies General Duties: Maintain accurate patient documentation and records Educate patients about procedures and address inquiries Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment Participate in ongoing education and skills development Provide support for other neurodiagnostic modalities as needed Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology program or equivalent Certifications: Registered EEG Technologist (R. EEG T.) preferred or eligibility required CNCT or R.NCS.T. certification preferred for EMG/NCS BLS/CPR certification required Experience: 1–3 years of hands-on experience in EEG and/or EMG strongly preferred Strong understanding of neurophysiology and electrophysiologic testing Why Join Us?
