Job Description Job Description Job Title: MRI Technologist Location: New York, NY 10025 Duration: 14 Weeks Schedule: 3 days/week, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (24 hours/week) Pay Rate: $68 – $70 per hour Job Summary: "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to operate and prepare specialized imaging equipment to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures. The ideal candidate applies technical expertise to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities: Perform MRI imaging procedures according to established protocols. Position patients and coils to achieve optimal imaging results. Provide patient education regarding procedures, preparation, and instructions. Review patient safety questionnaires prior to scans. Ensure MRI images are properly labeled and transmitted to PACS in a timely manner. Complete all studies accurately in the Radiology Information System (IDX). Maintain cleanliness of radiology rooms and equipment, including linen management. Scan and manage patient-related documents. Maintain supplies and accessories required for safe operation. Schedule exams and record patient tracking information in IDX. Report equipment issues or unsafe conditions to the supervisor. Assist physicians directly as required. Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines to protect patients and staff. Attend professional development sessions and maintain required licensure. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills & Experience: Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physical sciences, and MRI physics. Excellent technical skills and understanding of anatomy and physiology. NY State License in Diagnostic Radiology. ARRT MRI Registry certification. BCLS Certification. Preferred Skills & Experience: Minimum of 2 years of MRI experience. Education: Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T.-approved program in Radiologic Technology.
