Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 34.5 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job description: Registered Nurse Med Surg Job description: Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Med/Surg/Tele) Location: Bronx, Brooklyn, New York , NY Shift: Days: 11.5 hours a day Expected Hours: 34.5 hours a week Job Type: Contract , 13 weeks initially Job Overview: A Registered Nurse (RN) provides immediate and critical care to patients experiencing acute illness, trauma, or life-threatening conditions. RN nurses work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and are responsible for rapid assessment, stabilization, treatment, and coordination of care. Key Responsibilities: - Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and vital signs. - Administer medications and treatments, and perform clinical procedures safely. Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to create and follow care plans. - Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions. - Ensure patient safety, maintain infection control, and provide compassionate, high-quality care. - Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
