to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Brooklyn, Maryland, 21225!
Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession:
Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years
required (will consider 2 years of solid experience) License: Must
hold valid state nursing license Certifications: BLS, NRP, C-EFM,
STABLE required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Scrub experience
required; first-time travelers accepted Description: End of April
start date. Scrub experience is required for this position.
Certifications needed include BLS, NRP, C-EFM, and STABLE at the
time of submission. ACLS certification is preferred. Float
requirements include mother/baby and scrub. Call is required for 2
shifts per 6-week schedule. Every other weekend work is required.
The nurse will be required to scrub as a backup as needed. The unit
handles high-risk antepartum cases. Skills required include the
ability to assist with sterile speculum exams, NST, OCT, and
recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
Responsibilities also include starting and maintaining IVs,
administering blood products, and caring for patients during
vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Successful candidates must possess
strong newborn assessment skills and manage postpartum hemorrhage
cases effectively. Experience in LDRP, couplet care, and multiple
births is advantageous. Nurses will participate in
interdisciplinary support with various medical teams as well.
Candidates must be comfortable moving forward without a guaranteed
interview process. Two supervisor references are required for
application. Compliance with facility-specific modules is mandatory
