A hospital system in South Jersey is currently seeking a Nephrologist for a promising opportunity with their growing team. About the Opportunity: Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: Standard business Setting: Mostly outpatient with inpatient work about 13 weeks/year and 7 weekends/year Call: 2 weekdays every 5th week Responsibilities: The Nephrologist will be responsible for: Conduct comprehensive exams to evaluate kidney function for disease and disorders. Treat a wide spectrum of diseases across the entire continuum including high blood pressure, fluid retention, complex metabolic conditions, electrolyte, acid-based disturbances, mineral imbalance and infections with detailed attention to identify abnormalities and kidney neoplasms. Collect and record patient information, such as medical histories, reports and examination results. Maintain complete and accurate medical records. Order, analyze lab results, and interpret image studies with strong understanding of various medications that affect kidney function. Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans. Provide relationship-centered care, considering the patient's psychosocial and physical needs. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care. Provide other duties as needed Qualifications: Current unrestricted NJ medical license BE/BC in Nephrology (MD/DO) Your privacy is important to us.
