ID: 55487816 Shift: 8H Days Description: Unit : Endo | RN*Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS suites: 3 Suites, Typically 2 rooms running - Cases/Ratios: Travelers are typically going to be placed in the Recover area; Recovery Ratio 1:2-3- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS- Required Duties: Intra-op: Preparing endo suite, ensuring all equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly, assisting in patient positioning, verifying procedural details & reviewing patient consent, assisting the endoscopist during the procedure (such as handling instruments and managing equipment), anticipating procedural needs, keeping accurate documentation, doing biopsies, collecting/handling specimen, cautery, capturing foreign objects with baskets/forceps, and more. There are no endo tech in the procedural room, RN is very involved with GI procedures. Recovery: recovering post procedure endo patients, assessing vitals, level of consciousness, monitoring of adverse reactions or complications, pain management, patient education, medication administration, collaboration with healthcare team, and continuous observation until patient is stable and meet discharge criteria.- Common Cases: GI: Upper & lower scopes, colonoscopy, EGDs, ERCPs (go to main PACU), Peg placement - Experience: Must have Endoscopy or PACU experience, Prefer scrub experience, Prefer PACU experience, Prefer GI experience, Prefer sedation experience- Anesthesia: Anesthesia determines how many rooms are open- Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Charge or ANCC- Interviews patient before procedures- Are there techs or nurse aids in this department?: PCTs, 1 in recover and 2 disinfecting and scope reprocessing- RT Equipment: None - Shifts & Scheduling: M-F, May be asked to work 8 or 10, Shift starts between 0900-1000, Lab closes at 7 PM- Weeknight/Call Requirements: None - Weekend/Call Requirements: None - Holiday/Call Requirements: None - What is call response time?:None - Floating Endoscopy- Scrub Color: Royal Blue - Unit Specific Orientation: 1-2 shifts with preceptor Date Entered On: 8/1/2024 Cancellation Charting BSN License to Trauma Level:2 Care Shift Notes: Required , BLS Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week Contract Weeks:91
