travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Job Description & Requirements -
Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days, evenings, nights,
rotating - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Special
Delivery Unit A Brief Overview The Special Delivery Unit (SDU) is a
unique unit delivering approximately 400 babies per year that
provides individualized and compassionate nursing care to women
carrying babies with fetal anomalies. The SDU is the world's first
birthing facility located within a pediatric hospital that provides
comprehensive care to these mothers before, during, and after
delivery. The unit includes two operating rooms (one for cesarean
sections and one for fetal surgeries), a 15-bedded LDRP, and two
infant stabilization rooms. Our unit is safely staffed with
experienced labor and delivery nurses, a 24-hour obstetrician and
certified nurse midwife, obstetrical technologists, and a back-up
maternal fetal medicine physician. Deliver compassionate,

care guided by CHOP’s Nursing Professional Practice Model. -
Develop, evaluate, and revise patients’ plans of care throughout
their hospitalization. - Gather and analyze data to inform the care
team and delegate tasks. - Promote excellent patient outcomes by
adhering to evidence-based practices, nursing standards, and safety
procedures. - Identify and address safety concerns or ethical
dilemmas with unit leadership. - Develop effective partnerships
with the interdisciplinary care team. - Adopt healthcare technology
and clinical practice changes in a fast-paced environment. -
Maintain CEUs for nursing licensure and comply with annual nursing
competencies and mandatory education. Education - Required:
Technical diploma- Nursing - Preferred: Bachelor's degree- Nursing
Experience - Required: At least one (1) year of Labor and Delivery
RN experience. - Preferred: At least two (2) years of prior
experience in Labor and Delivery Nursing Skills and Abilities - Use
of patient-facing technology (IV pumps, point-of-care devices, CR
monitors) - Ability to gather and assess clinical information using
appropriate healthcare technology Licenses and Certifications -
Required (upon hire at a Pennsylvania location): Registered Nurse
(Pennsylvania) or Nursing Temporary Practice Permit (Pennsylvania)
- Pennsylvania State Licensing Board; Multistate Compact RN license
accepted - Required (upon hire at a New Jersey location):
Registered Nurse (New Jersey) or Nursing Temporary Practice Permit
(New Jersey) - New Jersey State Licensing Board - Required (upon
hire): BLS certification issued by an organization that appoints a
hands-on instructor to lead psychomotor skills verification (i.e.,
American Heart Association or Red Cross). - Required (upon hire):
ACLS certification - Required (upon hire): NRP certification

QUALIFICATION/LICENSURE Work Authorization : Green Card, US Citizen
Preferred years of experience : 2 years Travel required : No travel
required Shift timings : 3x12 hour shifts. Rotating shifts
