Psychiatrist should be qualified in the mental health profession, and possesses the clinical skills and experience to assess, plan, develop, coordinate, and collaborate treatment and rehabilitation. - This individual will be the clinical leader and work in conjunction with other staff to assure the highest quality of care to the consumers. The Psychiatrist will: -

• provide psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and care to individuals experiencing urgent behavioral health needs.
• supervises the Certified Nurse Practitioners and
• work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary BHUCC team to assess and manage urgent behavioral health needs

    • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
    • Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
    • Valid state medical license and DEA registration for prescribing controlled substances.
    • Experience in crisis intervention, emergency psychiatry, or urgent care settings is preferred.
    • Knowledge of evidence-based psychiatric treatments and interventions.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
    • Strong communication and empathy in working with patients and their families.
    • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and healthcare technology.
    • Must be available to work part-time hours onsite. -
