The hospital is conveniently located on Chester Pike (Rt. 13) near I-95 in Ridley Park. The Emergency Department is comprised of 16 beds. RNs working in the ED treat adult and pediatric patients with various diagnosis such as Resp. GI, DM, DKA, Chest pain and shortness of breath. RN's perform Pretreatment guidelines available for all emergency department patients and must be able to start IVs, perform EKGS, phlebotomy, and transport. - The Emergency Room RN is responsible for the following job tasks.

• Assessing Patients
• Developing Individualized Plans of Care
• Following of Five Medication Rights
• Performing Patient Care
• Responding to Crises, Using De-escalation, Restraints and Patient Seclusion
• Documenting Nursing Process
• Communicating with the Physician
• Utilizing the nursing process, provide high quality direct and indirect patient-centered care.
  • Coordinate patient care by working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, patients and families.
  • Communicate, as appropriate, the patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
  • Day can vary from assessments, using IV skills, an EKG, or giving meds to utilizing Combative Patient De-escalation tools/skills training. ER RNs must possess either CEN or ATCN certification. Experience/Requirements :
    • RNs must have at least one year of Critical Care Experience
    • PA RN licensure required
    • Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
    • Certifications Preferred: CPI, Hazmat
    • Will float to Critical Care areas as assigned.
    • Weekends required (max Every third Weekend). Location: Crozer Health - 7010 - Emergency Room
      Schedule: FR =Full-time Regular, 0 =Rotating Shifts, 11a-11p Every Weekend with Rotation
