The Senior Contract Manager will be responsible for overseeing the contractual aspects of our collaborations with external laboratories, ensuring efficient negotiation, execution, and management of contracts to support our research and development activities. They will also collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement effective outsourcing strategies and implement vendor oversight frameworks to ensure quality and performance.

Responsibilities· Lead the RFI/RFP, negotiation, drafting and execution of contracts for nonclinical and clinical lab and data services, including master services agreements, work orders, consultancy agreements, termination agreements, etc.· Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders across Research & Development to develop robust and sustainable category strategies aligned with organizational goals· Partner with Legal team and subject matter experts to thoroughly evaluate potential legal, financial and operational risks associated with vendor contracts, ensuring adherence to company policies and relevant industry regulations.· Provide guidance and advice to internal teams on contract-related matters, including interpretation of terms and conditions related to lab and data services.· Manage the contract lifecycle from initiation through execution, ensuring proper implementation and adherence to contractual obligations.· Develop and maintain strong relationships with external third parties, fostering effective communication and collaboration to drive project success.· Implement vendor relationship oversight mechanisms, including performance evaluations and issue resolution, to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.

Requirements· Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS) preferred.· 5+ years of experience in a similar position within the pharmaceutical, biotech or contract research industry; focus on lab or data services preferred.· Strong negotiation skills involving multiple vendor contract types including master service/collaboration agreements, work / change orders, termination agreements, etc.· Experience driving the selection, negotiation, and management of R&D service vendors, ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.· Knowledge and understanding of drug development including regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to nonclinical and clinical laboratories (e.g., GLP, GCP, ISO).· Experience in vendor management and oversight, including performance evaluations and issue resolution.· Outsourcing category strategy development and implementation.· Strong project management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.· Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.· Strong oral and written communication skills; fluent in English· Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.This role is hybrid and requires you to be in the Princeton, NJ office 3x per week.Furthermore, this role will take part in the further development of the global outsourcing, contract management and vendor governance processes together with the entire Research & Innovation Outsourcing Management team and stakeholders in R&D, Legal, IT, Finance, Compliance, QA, and Procurement.For US based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:$95,625.00---$159,375.00The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.About You
