Unit #DEPT #Agency:JFCSDescription Date:07/2022Department:Holocaust Survivor DepartmentHours' scheduled (weekly): 15 hours a weekFlexible Part-TimeSupervisor:Gail BelferReports to Supervisor:Gail BelferJob Summary: Basic purpose or primary function of the job.The Case Manager position provides assessments of Client needs and connects to appropriate resources. Qualified candidates must be able to speak and write fluent Russian in order to communicate with clients who either only speak Russian or have very limited English communication skills. Job Responsibilities: Principal responsibilities or job duties. Add paragraphs by clicking "enter" as necessary.Provide case management to Holocaust Survivors by assessing client's needs and assisting them in getting services and making appropriate referrals, through in-person home and office visits. Draft and submit emergency assistance as needed.Assist Holocaust Survivors from the Former Soviet Union with reparation applications and other benefit applications.Draft and maintain progress notes in client files and/or the electronic case management system.Translate letters, documents, and flyers into Russian for mailing as appropriate.Collaborate with the Program Manager and other Holocaust Survivor Program staff concerning grants and programming.Participate in weekly meetings with supervisor and team members, as needed.Develop content and use established design to publish quarterly Russian Language NewsletterAll employees who use their personal car for work, must submit a copy of their insurance card, driver's license, and registration.Required Licenses/ Certificates/Registrations: Driver's License, Car Registration and Car Insurance Required Education & Experience:Minimum education required; cite years & type of experience.Bachelor's Degree required. Previous Case Management ExperienceExcellent Communication SkillsJewish background preferred.Previous experience working with the geriatric population.Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality. Additional Technical Requirements: Specific knowledge and skills.Add paragraphs by clicking "enter" as necessary.Required PC Skills: Microsoft Office Suite -Excel, Word and Microsoft Access.Ability to facilitate and attend meetings and training using ZoomAbility to perform work that is routine and strong attention to detail.Excellent project management, customer service, organization, and time management skills. This position is part-time 15 hours/week.
