This is a highly visible leadership role. -We are looking for a self-starter individual who can effectively manage a department of four, build a collaborative environment and handles challenges with ease. This person is a master negotiator who can optimize procurement strategies on market driven commodities such as (protein, cheese, dairy, oil, other ingredients, materials, and packaging and much more. This position interacts with buyers, sales, R&D, commercialization, production, and actively over-communicates with all procurement strategies. --- - - - - - -Leads the development and implementation of all procurement strategies in support of Company objectives. --- - - - - - -Leads cost savings strategies and initiatives and develops and maintains department metrics for inventory, working capital and purchase price variance. --- - - - - - -Leads negotiation with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable cost reduction and advantageous terms. --- - - - - - -Builds and maintains internal and external relationships with department heads and all vendor/suppliers. --- - - - - - -Creates analytical reports and makes recommendations for company leadership. --- - - - - - -Leads the procurement staff with sourcing, contracting, transactional purchasing, supply management and other miscellaneous activities. --- - - - - - -Coordinate and negotiates business contracts with terms that support company strategy. --- - - - - - -Maintain current contracts by monitoring and service change. --- - - - - - -Development of benchmarks and metrics including a routine scorecard to set baseline standards and review for improvement opportunities. --- - - - - - -Identify cost savings opportunities and drive those initiatives forward. --- - - - - - -Manage the purchasing team to set and meet objectives consistent with business requirements. --- - - - - - -Lead the RFP process to deliver value, capturing the business needs, formulating a sourcing strategy, identifying, and soliciting bids from vendors, performing analysis, negotiation, and final award of business. --- - - - - - -Manage the Sourcing process for new and innovative materials for R&D --- - - - - - -Support new product roll outs by ensuring that all new materials are in place for production, planning initial inventories and replenishment strategy. --- - - - - - -Keep abreast of significant trends and changes in suppliers, commodities, and prices to capitalize on opportunities and/or enhance product margins.A bachelor's degree from an accredit school, 6-10 years of leadership experience including all phases of strategic sourcing and category strategies, supplier relationships management and project management in the frozen food industry. Ability to manage multiple projects from conception to completion in a fast-paced, global team environment. Experience in starting up new production lines and/or manufacturing locations. Strong computer skills with Strong ethics and integrityWorking knowledge of SQF, USDA, FDA and GMP requirements.
