Takeda as an Associate Medical Director, Global Medical Lead,
Neuroscience - where you will be part of a multidisciplinary global
team working together to develop new treatments for patients living
with neurological diseases. You will be also collaborating with
global experts, developing creative medical and scientific programs
to fulfill unmet patient and medical needs in the neuroscience
field. You will also collaborate with the Regions/Local Other
Companies to incorporate global unmet medical needs in Medical
Strategy Team plans. Provide leadership and build global evidence
generation plans with Regional/LOC feedback to support patient
access. As part of this Global Medical Affairs team, you will
report to Global Medical Unit Head and work with Global Medical
Affairs, Neuroscience.How you will contribute:
- Work with the Global Medical Unit Head (GMUH) and Medical
Sub-Team (MST) to develop medical strategy, including e.g., in-line
R&D LCM strategy, publications strategy, congress strategy, KOL
engagement strategy, and the scientific communication platform for
the disease area / brand(s), aligned with product strategy.
Included is Soticlestat pre- and post-launch
planning/strategy.
- Support development of the in-year medical plan and budget for
the global initiatives
- Co-lead functional (e.g., publications, medical communications,
medical training) and in-line R&D teams in developing plans
supporting global medical strategy
- Collaborate with Commercial group to ensure commercial strategy
is aligned and medically appropriate
- Support and lead Evidence Generation activities for global and
regional cross functional collaboration including study design
phase IV protocols. -
- Provide medical affairs and R&D inputs for product(s) to
Product Strategy Team
- Monitoring and communicating progress of medical launch plan.
Propose new initiatives to adjust to disease area requirements
- Planning, designing, and managing Global Medical Advisory
Boards
- Managing design and execution of clinical studies (phase
IIIb/IV, disease registries, epidemiological studies, outcomes
surveys, etc.) in close collaboration with Therapeutic Area
Clinical Development head and Global Clinical Operations. Managing
completion of regulatory obligationsMinimum
Requirements/Qualifications:
- MD required
- 3 years of demonstrated leadership in a pharmaceutical Medical
Affairs role or clinical development role, preferably in the area
of Pediatric Neurology, -epilepsy or pediatric epilepsy.
- Experience leading a medium to large organization and
influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders
- Proven track record of leading and driving business process
transformation and organizational culture change and delivering on
programs with complex business deliverables.
- Experience developing, leading and delivering evidence
generation activities such as phase IV, collaborative studies,
early access programs, systematic literature reviews, etc.What
