Our client, a leader in industrial and construction services, is seeking a dedicated Operating Engineer to join their team. As an Operating Engineer, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the construction and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Operating Engineer Location: Chatham, NJ Pay Range: What's the Job? Operate various types of heavy machinery and industrial equipment according to operational guidelines Monitor equipment during operation to ensure efficiency and safety Perform routine maintenance on machinery to keep it in good working order Diagnose equipment malfunctions and execute repairs, either independently or in collaboration with maintenance technicians Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries What's Needed? High school diploma or equivalent Solid understanding of the operating principles of heavy machinery and industrial equipment Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and electronic diagnostic equipment Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Good physical condition and strength, with the ability to work in varied environmental conditions What's in it for me?
