Job Description Job Description We’re Hiring: Level 3 Commercial HVAC Technician – Set the Pace, Raise the Standard Location: Norristown, PA (Field-Based Role) | Pay Range: $33–$38/hour | Full-Time Company Overview: At Commercial Kitchen Ventilation, we built our reputation by handling the jobs other companies run from. Position Summary: We’re hiring a Level 3 Commercial HVAC Technician — someone who doesn’t just fix problems, but leads the solution. You’ll handle high-priority ventilation service calls, train junior techs in the field, and spot code and safety issues before they blow up. At this level, you’re expected to move with speed, precision, and confidence — because the customers, the crew, and the jobsite will all be looking to you. What You’ll Do: Run complex ventilation service calls with minimal oversight Diagnose and fix airflow, mechanical, electrical, and capture issues Identify code deficiencies (IMC familiarity expected) and report accurately Communicate directly and clearly with customers and office support Train and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 techs — by example, not lectures Own your truck, your paperwork, and your performance — every call What You’ll Bring: 4–6 years of commercial HVAC or ventilation service experience Expert troubleshooting across hoods, duct, fans, curb systems, and controls Familiarity with applicable IMC sections around ventilation system compliance Clean driver’s license and the ability to move across multiple jobsites daily EPA 608 Universal Certification required at this level High field IQ, real leadership instincts, and pride in professional workmanship Pay & Benefits: $33–$38/hour based on field leadership, technical skill, and output Health Insurance Retirement Plan Paid Holidays PTO Advancement to Level 4 and project leadership for the top performers A team that moves fast, holds the standard, and pushes for better Physical Requirements & Work Environment: You’ll be lifting 50 lbs daily, climbing ladders onto multi-story rooftops (sometimes steep pitched), crawling into hot attics and freezing mechanical rooms, working from lifts and boom trucks, and grinding through all weather.
