A school-based paraprofessional role is available at a K-12 urban school setting in Philadelphia, PA, with two full-time contract openings running from ASAP through June 12, 2026. Candidates will provide supportive services to Special Education (SPED) students in an engaging learning environment focused on both general and specialized education needs. The first position involves 2:1 student support, offering push-in and pull-out services for general education without behavior challenges. The second position requires 1:1 onsite student support, working directly with students who may have behavioral challenges. Both roles demand flexibility across K-12 grade levels and a strong commitment to fostering inclusive educational experiences. Key qualifications and experience: High school diploma required; must have or obtain a CPR card. Ability to complete Pennsylvania clearances necessary for employment. Prior school-based experience working with Special Education students. Comfortable supporting behaviorally challenged students, including toileting and diapering assistance. Must be prepared for a K-12 caseload for flexibility in assignments. Reliable references required. Comfortable working in an urban educational environment. Candidates must disclose district affiliation upfront. Participation in a Zoom interview is part of the hiring process. Responsibilities include providing tailored instructional support, assisting with behavior management, supporting toileting needs, and collaborating with educators to enhance student learning outcomes.
