Job Description GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: The Assembler is responsible for preparing products for the final release to the customer and achieving quality and integrity of products at the lowest possible cost. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: /n - Works from verbal and written instructions, including assembly or sub-assembly prints. /n - Receives parts, sub-assemblies, and partially completed units. /n - As applicable, measures, cuts, fits, adjusts, drills, rivets, and bolts. /n - Uses appropriate tools and fixtures to assist with the installation or complete the installation of parts, sub-assemblies, and modifications. /n - Grinds excess materials as required. /n - Uses various tools, including rivet guns, drills, sanders, grinders, routers, and other tooling and equipment as needed. /n - Maintains a clean and safe work area. /n - Performs other related duties and assignments as required. /n - Read tape measure, decimal to fraction conversions, and read blueprints. /n - Skilled in tool drilling operations. /n - Knowledge of all applicable manufacturing and quality documentation required to perform the job tasks. /n - Ability to train and learn from co-workers in job skill transfer. /n /n Other Job Functions - Other duties may be assigned. /n SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: /n - Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards. /n - Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors. /n - Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary. /n - Ability to adhere to workplace rules. /n /n EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: /n - High School Diploma or equivalent. /n - 1 years related experience. /n - Basic computer skills required. /n - Ability to accurately read tape measure; convert between fractions and decimals. /n - Read and interpret blueprints. /n - Read routings. /n /n WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: /n - Shop Floor environment / shared workbench or workstation. /n - Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time. /n - Ability to perform repetitive motion (rotating wrists, keyboarding, using small/large tools). /n - Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. /n - Ability to tolerate constant noise (machine motors - large fans). /n - Ability to work safely in the presence of hazardous chemicals and hazardous conditions. /n - Ability to follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. /n
