successful project execution. Job Summary The Cost Control Manager
oversees all financial aspects of construction projects to ensure
accurate budgeting, cost forecasting, and financial reporting. This
role is responsible for monitoring project expenditures,
identifying cost variances, and supporting project managers in
maintaining financial performance and profitability. Essential
Duties and Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage cost
control systems and procedures for all construction projects
Prepare project budgets, cost estimates, and cash flow projections
in coordination with project and finance teams Monitor ongoing
projects, identify variances, and report deviations from approved
budgets Responsible for creating and updating the statuses of CE
(change events) in Procore to ensure they are up to date and
current Run the monthly internal ACR with Ops to review anticipated
Costs for project duration Prepare and issue monthly Cost Reports
to Ops and Client Host internal cost and change order meetings
Interface with Owner regarding change management Streamline
financial information from Ops to Owner and internally to
accounting Responsible for developing and implementing a seamless
Cost Control process between Project Team and Client Participate in
all Client-interfacing cost meetings to discuss and review
submitted and outstanding Change Orders on the project Monitor,
update, and accurately track all open and closed Change Orders on
both cost and budget side Review change orders from Ops, amend as
necessary, and issue all Change Orders to Client Review contracts
to accurately track contract allowances Implement and maintain
electronic filing system for all cost documents Communicate with
Owner on any potential contingency usage and collect email approval
Issue PCOs to Owner for any additional costs, credits, and
allowance usage we are requesting Develop and use electronic
workflow system to route documents for review and approval
Performed Cost Analysis based on Subcontractors Proposals and
required scope as needed Ensure CCOs and PCOs get fully executed
and saved in the system Qualifications Bachelors degree in
Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Finance, or a related
field. Minimum of 710 years of cost control experience in the
construction industry (commercial, infrastructure, or industrial
projects preferred). Proficiency in project management and cost
control software (e.g., Primavera P6, SAP, Procore, or similar).
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of project accounting and contract administration
Professional certification (e.g., CCP, PMP, CMA) preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Excellent time and project management skills Competent in conflict
resolution and crisis management Provide leadership and strategy in
subcontractor and vendor selection process High level of integrity
and discretion in handling confidential/proprietary information
