Job Description:

Interstate Waste Services is seeking a dedicated Supervisor of Operations II to join our dynamic operations team in the Northeast region. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible waste management operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supervising operations within the waste management or environmental services industry, demonstrating strong leadership and an ability to improve processes. Oversee daily operations of the facility and field services ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Supervise, train, and evaluate staff performance, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize operations and enhance the efficacy of waste collection, transfer, recycling, and disposal services. Manage budgets, control expenses, and ensure the cost-effectiveness of operations. Implement and monitor safety programs and practices to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. Analyze operational data to propose recommendations for operational efficiency and environmental sustainability. Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations. Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of operational procedures and technology in waste management Ability to analyze and improve operational processes Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance requirements in waste management Certified Waste Management Professional (CWMP) OSHA Safety Certification is preferred
