Senior Knowledge Analyst - People & Organization Practice Area
(POPA) - (The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. - New York, NY): Support
BCG’s consulting services within the People & Organization Practice
Area by processing and managing complex research requests and
performing sophisticated qualitative and quantitative data analytics in the
areas of organizational design, support functions including human
resources and finance functions, human capital, leadership development and
behavior and culture. Specific duties include: design and develop
organizational effectiveness programs; perform research and gather, filter,
synthesize, analyze, and deliver industry specific information to case
teams; perform highly quantitative and analytical tasks including industry
benchmarking, organizational diagnostics, and competitive analysis in order to
develop specialized topic knowledge and enhance intellectual capital;
maintain proprietary POPA-specific tools and author training materials in
various topic areas; share topic/sector insights and points of view more
broadly within the firm in order to contribute to BCG’s growing
knowledge base through the creation of original material and by conducting
interviews at the end of a consulting engagement. Requires a Master’s in
Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources Management
or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and three
(3) years of experience applying quantitative analyses and business
analytics to design organizational effectiveness solutions for client
companies. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience
requirement not applicable to this section) – must possess the following: (i)
performing research and analysis on organization design topics including
target organization models, optimal span of control, role alignment,
talent management and staffing and cooperation mechanisms; (ii)
developing organizational effectiveness programs including layer by layer
organization design, role chartering/job description development, managing a
wider Span of Control and process improvement; (iii) human resources data
analytics and organizational data analytics; (iv) organizational
benchmarking and behavioral analysis; (v) coaching and training on organizational
topics and technical tools; and (vi) interviewing clients to identify
organizational pain points and assess client organizational structure and
functionality. Must have unrestricted authorization to work in U.S. M-F, 9:00
